Architecture
Designed a modular architecture that could support rapid feature development without accumulating tech debt. The core platform handles real-time collaboration, document management, task tracking, and an AI layer that sits on top of everything. Built for multi-tenancy from day one with workspace isolation, role-based access, and enterprise-grade security.
AI Features
The AI engine was the differentiator. Built LLM-powered features including smart document generation, automated task extraction from meeting notes, intelligent search across all workspace content, and workflow suggestions based on usage patterns. Integrated multiple AI models and built an orchestration layer to route requests to the optimal model based on task type.
Scaling
Grew from a prototype to a production platform serving thousands of users. Implemented infrastructure on AWS with auto-scaling, CDN distribution, and database optimization. Built a CI/CD pipeline for rapid deployments. Handled the full spectrum from feature development to production monitoring and incident response.
Team and Leadership
Hired and mentored the engineering team. Established development workflows, code review practices, and technical documentation standards. Balanced hands-on coding with architectural decisions and team management. Created engineering principles that kept the team aligned as we scaled.
Outcome
Scaled to thousands of active users with strong retention.
