Staybird Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 10, 2026
Staybird (“the app”) is built privacy-first. This page explains what data the app handles and where it lives.
The short version
Everything you enter in Staybird — your stays, countries, dates, name, and settings — is stored on your device only. Staybird has no accounts, no sign-up, and no server of ours that receives your data.
What the app stores on your device
Stays you log (country, entry and exit dates), and your preferences (home base country, tracking mode, display name, settings).
This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it (for example, sharing a CSV file). You can delete all data at any time in Settings → Erase All Data, or by deleting the app.
In-app purchases
Purchases are processed by Apple. To manage subscriptions and unlock features, Staybird uses RevenueCat, a subscription infrastructure provider. RevenueCat receives an anonymous, randomly generated identifier and your purchase history (never your name, email, or stay data). This is used solely to validate purchases and restore them across reinstalls. See RevenueCat’s privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.
What we don’t do
No analytics or tracking SDKs. No advertising. No selling or sharing of personal data. No collection of location data — country presence is only what you type in.
Widgets
Widget data (your day counts) is shared between the app and its widgets inside Apple’s App Group container on your device. It does not leave the device.
